Clinic Update – January 2025

As some of you are already aware, beginning December 9th of 2024, our practice fees increased and our telehealth policy was altered due to a change in Medicare bulk-billing policy.
Medicare now requires that all patients, whose services are bulk-billed, sign a form expressing their consent to assign their benefits to the relevant health professional (GP or nurse). As such, appointments for new/repeat referrals, prescriptions and results are preferably made as face-to-face consultations unless otherwise directed by the GPs – exceptions can be made under special circumstances and you may talk to our reception staff about your options when you book an appointment.
While our practice fees for private patients have increased, the Medicare rebate remains the same as that of the previous billing structure and thus the associated out-of-pocket cost has also increased.

Brief Consult: $53.00
Standard Consult: $85.00
Long Consult: $130.00
Complex Consult: $165.00
